The Broadside Hack is a short documentary film from British Underground exploring the influence of traditional folk songs on a new generation of musicians. The documentary was made in collaboration with Broadside Hacks and features Shovel Dance Collective, Thyrsis, caroline, Broadside Hacks and Boss Morris. It was filmed at Real World Studios in Box, Wiltshire in August 2021 and is part of our Looking for a New England series of showcases

NI Music Prize Winners 2019 - Borders is an outstanding collaborative project which the development was funded through the ACNI ACES Scheme in 2018/19. Across eight tracks, from opener Droves to the beat-laden outre, O’Callaghan and Vail masterfully blur the contours between contemporary electronic and classical realms. They create a new continent of sound, a world where Borders don’t exist.

Joshua Burnside was born in Northern Ireland. His debut album EPHRATA won the NI Music Prize 2017. Written whilst living in Colombia, the songs deal with themes from PTSD and technophobia, to larger questions about time, love and
death in the modern age.

“Nava” is a Dublin-based quartet exploring the musical cultures of Ireland and Iran. It is comprised of banjoist Paddy Kiernan, guitarist/bassist Niall Hughes, and Iranian born brothers Shahab and Shayan Coohe, on santoor, and tombak/tar/clarinet respectively.
KÍLA
Formed in Dublin, Ireland in 1988, Kíla's unique and ever evolving sound, while rooted in Irish tradition, is inspired by a myriad of musical influences worldwide. Kíla's 8 members stem from differing musical backgrounds, including Irish traditional, classical, folk and rock.
